Earth Day at Squaw Valley (April 28, 2007)

On April 28th. some folks from our "savedonnersummit" group set up a booth at the "Earth Day" celebration in the village of Squaw Valley. We took 2 framed copies of Steve's new map of the proposed development, a great banner hand made for us by Barbara, bumper stickers, and assorted handouts.

We just wanted to get the word out to some Truckee/Tahoe people what's happening up here.

We didn't know what to expect.

Well, it was awesome. So many people were interested and very concerned. So many people know and truly love the summit. We met some very interesting and helpful people. In the middle of the day there were 5 of us manning the booth, and all kept very busy explaining and ansewering questions.We even got an interview on the local radio station.

I feel the day was a huge success. If there are any other festivals in other areas maybe it would be good to take "the show" on the road. Anyone have any suggstions?
